FOG – Mountain Forest Water Villas – Unveiling Ambewela’s Misty Luxury Villas

Bhoomi Realty’s FOG project, featuring 3 and 4-bedroom luxury villas in Ambewela, posed a marketing challenge due to its remote location. To overcome this, Dynamic X Plus crafted a compelling 3-minute CGI video and 16 still images, showcasing the natural beauty of the surroundings. The strategy successfully highlighted the project’s unique attributes, and the client’s feedback reflects their extreme satisfaction. The collaboration exemplifies how CGI visualization can transform marketing for real estate, proving to be a valuable asset in conveying the allure of properties and locations to potential buyers.

  • This CGI visualization was conducted at the early stage of the project even without a model house constructed.

Client Overview:  

Bhoomi Realty Holdings, a member of the Prime Group, holds an esteemed position in Sri Lanka’s real estate landscape. Prime Group has served over 300,000 clients for more than 26 years. 

 

Project Introduction:  

The real estate project, named FOG, drew inspiration from the mist and fog prevalent in Ambewela consisted of 3BR & 4BR luxury villas. Bhoomi needed CGI material to showcase the Mountain Forest Water Villas in the Hakgala mountains, bordering the Hakgala forest and Ambewela Oya for their marketing purposes. 

 

Client’s Challenge:  

Due to the remote location of the properties in Ambewela, the client faced the unique challenge of marketing the project. The client’s unique selling proposition for this project was the enchanting environment around the housing project. The objective was to create a CGI video that authentically captured the calming misty hillside atmosphere of the area. 

 

Project Deliverables:  

Originally planned for 16 still images and a 3-minute video within a month, the client’s urgency led to the creation of extra two 30-second teaser videos in just two weeks. The client gained an unexpected benefit, a potential to increase the selling price by 15% after extremely positive feedback and many inquiries for the teasers. 

 

Challenges:  

The main challenge for Magic Morpheus/ Dynamic X Plus was recreating the exact atmosphere of Ambewela. The client specifically sought the depiction of layers in the fog, making it an experimental and trial-and-error process. 

Tools Used:  

To streamline the project and reduce challenges, a limited set of tools was employed: Autodesk 3D Studio Max for 3D modeling, Corona rendering engine, Adobe Premier for video editing, and Adobe After Effects for VFX shots and 3D projection mapping. 

 

Project Management:  

The project team included key players from Bhoomi Realty Holdings and Dynamic X/Magic Morpheus. Director of Marketing – Bhoomi Realty Holdings, served as the point of contact, providing immediate feedback and streamlining the approval process. 

 

Execution Strategy:  

A comprehensive approach involved first creating storyboards using sketches, then a dummy video using references, and parallel processes for script writing, music creation, and other extra features. This method ensured progress on multiple fronts simultaneously, a necessity given the tight deadline. 

The streamlined process and frequent client visits resulted in final deliverables that required no revisions. The teasers, providing insights into the project’s look and feel, contributed to exceptional feedback. The final video exceeded the client’s expectations.

The client, Bhoomi Realty, expressed overwhelming satisfaction with the project outcome. The mist and fog feature not only met but exceeded their expectations, contributing to an exceptional reception of the final deliverables. The video, well-received by the director board and chairman, prompted additional requests for varied versions for different platforms.
