Visualising the Future of Construction: Dynamic X at the South Wales Construction Summit 2025

On 8th May 2025, the Welsh construction community came together once again for the second South Wales Construction Summit, hosted by Constructing Excellence in Wales (CEWales) alongside the Welsh Government.
CEWales plays a pivotal role in shaping conversations that drive change across the built environment in Wales. Their events bring together government bodies, industry leaders, innovators, and next-gen professionals to tackle key issues affecting the sector from procurement reform to digital transformation and skills shortages.
This year’s Summit wasn’t disappointing. The event welcomed over 100 sector leaders, decision-makers, and nine forward-thinking exhibitors, including us at Dynamic X.
The day was packed with insightful talks and discussions. Highlights included Rebecca Evans MS, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy & Planning, who set the tone with updates on Wales’ economic and planning agenda. The message was clear, the sector must adapt, innovate, and invest in its people and processes.
Representing Dynamic X at the Summit were Mahesh Dilhan, our Chief Growth Officer, Dilshan Basnayake, our Head of Strategic Relations, and Nishan Weeratunge, our Project Director. Our team were on hand to showcase how our visualisation options are adding value to the construction industry players tackling many of the issues discussed throughout the day.
From visualisations that strengthen tender proposals, to interactive digital planning tools that improve stakeholder engagement, and our immersive VR-based Health & Safety simulation, our solutions are all about making the construction process smarter, safer, and more engaging.
As our CGO, Mahesh expresses.
“The construction industry is calling for clearer communication, faster decision-making, and safer working environments. Visualisation is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’, it’s a necessity.
And the feedback from attendees backed this up. There was strong interest from developers, architects, and training bodies in how visualisation tools can solve real-world construction industry challenges, whether that’s making community consultation more effective or improving safety training outcomes across sites.
One of the most valuable parts of the day was collaborating, building new connections, and strengthening existing relationships through meaningful conversations. The Dynamic X team connected with training bodies keen to explore VR-based solutions, and several developers expressed interest in using 3D/4D visuals to better communicate project timelines to stakeholders long before the project begins.
We were able to have an effective discussion with Chris, Director of Leading Construction Training Academy, exploring collaboration opportunities to connect our VR Health and Safety Simulation into their training programmes in order to add value to the construction industry as a visualisation company.
The Summit left us feeling energised and even more committed to driving digital innovation in Welsh construction.
Our CGO Mahesh sums it up with “Dynamic X is here to help the Welsh construction industry plan smarter, communicate clearer, and train safer.”
We’re grateful to CE Wales and the Welsh Government for providing such an insightful platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing! As a visualisation company based in the UK, we look forward to committing Wales' journey towards smarter, safer, and more digitally enabled construction.
